is an Achilles exercise enough?
i’d also look at how much running and sprinting you’re already doing.
before adding another exercise, write down your training: how often you run, how much you do, and how fast you go. note how you feel afterward and the next morning, too.
a gentle run and an all-out sprint are very different demands.
the exercise is one part of the picture.
how you fit it into your week matters too.
sometimes, the useful next step is adjusting what you already do.
massage helps. why does the tightness come back?
massage can feel good.
but feeling better for a while doesn’t always explain why the discomfort keeps returning.
i’d look beyond the tight spot.
what have you been doing recently?
more training? a new exercise? less recovery?
does it keep coming back after the same activity?
feeling tight doesn’t automatically mean you need more stretching. it also doesn’t prove that a muscle is weak.
enjoy what helps you feel better.
then look at the pattern, too.
if it keeps returning, hurts, or limits your movement, get it assessed rather than guessing from the feeling alone.
how do you know so much about injuries?
because i’ve had quite a few.
not exactly the qualification i was aiming for.
getting injured gave me questions. studying and working through recovery helped me understand more.
that experience shapes how i teach.
it doesn’t mean i can tell what’s happening in your body from a comment.
“so you know how to avoid getting injured now?”
i’m still learning that part.
